A qualified grief counsellor, Helen has also been providing specialised grief counselling services to family members and workmates, since 2000. Helen provides this service usually on the request of organisations following a fatality at work, or for employees who may have lost a family member outside the workplace.
Grief counselling takes the form of face-to-face visits as well as telephone contact; advice on processes following fatalities, and bureaucratic advocacy & liaison. Helen is also the Group Facilitator for the Standing Together Group, a quarterly event run by the Miners’ Promise organisation, which brings together individuals who have suffered the loss of a loved one in the workplace.
